I try not to look at the environment as an accessory, but as an integral part of the work. I was particularly inspired to investigate the influence of space on the overall picture by real experiences from places that often seem unreal. Abandoned places that once flourished and glowed with life, now under the influence of foreign factors seem inhospitable and gape with emptiness. I want to create a symbiotic relationship between them so that not only does one complement the other, but it could not exist without it in the form in which it exists and in which we understand it.
This way emotions and feelings are projected there, as in a uniform piece, which otherwise the parts themselves would not project or we would not perceive them that way. I chose the topic concerning the fascination with the way the work‘s environment shapes and directs its perception. I consider not only the role of the space, environments and objects around us but also what their meaning is and what they evoke in us. In a certain way, my work challenges how we perceive the objects in the works. We adopt or infer from them an essence that is wrongly based on our experiences.
These are influenced by how we understand the world around us.
